What Happens When Nothing Happens:
Unrealised Ideas from Montreal

In addition to accompanying the June 2009 exhibition of "What Happens
when Nothing Happens," held at Galleri Rotor 1 in Göteborg, Sweden,
this publication was meant to stand as a work in and of itself. That
is, a publication that takes on the random yet fluid structure of a
sketch book in which artists' thoughts, ideas, fluctuations, rhythms
and classifications become interlaced and mixed. A book in which line and colours direct its reading rather than a logical, linear, or alphabetical order.

This project has been conceived through an inspiring collaboration
with Håkan Hallberg, designer at the School of Design and Crafts
(HDK), the support of Leslie Johnson, Dean at Valand School of Fine
Arts, and the generous participation of the artists who are part of
the exhibition; A group of artists who have trusted our vision,
allowing us to bring their practices and thoughts together.
